Welcome to the first instalment of the Ambassador’s Corner. In November 2017, Zimbabwe witnessed a dramatic political development which culminated in the ushering in of the New Dispensation under the leadership of the President, H.E. Cde E.D. Mnangagwa.
In his various pronouncements, the President has sent a very clear message to our brothers and sisters in the Diaspora. His clarion call is that the Diaspora can positively contribute to the development of the country. In this vein, I wish to inform that all Embassies of the Republic of Zimbabwe have been tasked with engaging with the Diaspora.
In line with the President’s call, we at the Embassy wish to robustly engage with our compatriots in the Diaspora, especially in our area of accreditation of Belgium, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. I have an open-door policy and any Zimbabwean who comes to the Embassy is free to request to meet with me, subject to my availability. You do not need to have an appointment, although you can request for one. I will be privileged to get to know you and to exchange views on how, together, we can build a stronger Zimbabwe. I wish to take this opportunity to extend to our Diaspora for their genenous constributions to the victims of Cyclone Idai which ravaged the country recently. Such spirit of togetherness is highly commended and may this spirit of unity continue.

This Mission represents all Zimbabweans in its area of accreditation regardless of race, creed or political affiliation. Elsewhere on this website you will find a Diaspora link through which you are able to register with the Embassy.
The era of mistrust between the Embassy and its Diaspora or vice versa is over. The New Dispensation has opened a new chapter of dialogue, not only with other countries, but with its own people. The President has said let bygones be bygones and that we should all put our minds and hands together in order to make Zimbabwe an Upper Middle Income Economy by 2030.
It is the duty of all of us to make our beautiful country, Zimbabwe, prosper! God bless you all. Till the next time.
